Anyone know if this style bridge pickup would be any good for surf? Plan on upgrading my bullet strat a bit without putting too much into it at the same time,cant afford a legit fender strat so im gonna try to get the best sound out of what I have for a decent price that not over the top.

I think it would work pretty good. I have had great luck overall with DiMarzios. Since it is a more vintage voiced pickup it shoudl deliver on some good surf tones. I have put different DiMarzio pickups in a number of guitars with great results and I am by no stretch a metal head.

Have you considered trying some guitar fetish pickups? For just a few bucks more you can replace all three.
