This is a fantastic CD and the Youtube videos as well.
Those cool Teiscos in the videos got me ordering one from Japan

Would be awesome to have you here in Europe for the Surfer Joe festival next year!

Late to the party here, but I bought this a month ago and it has been having a weekly spin or two at home.

I really like all the different styles and sounds on the album and it is great fun. Played at reasonable volume I can stick my feet up and just listen; ramp it up a few notches and it's time to party (with a moment's reflection on "Rain for Sunday" very early 60s Shadows).

This was easily my favorite purchase this past year and an absolute classic album. I just ordered Greatest Hits Vol 2 yesterday and am very excited about it.

Note to Noel: Excellent review. I think it was better for me since by now I know the album so thoroughly. Side note: I may never pretend to write a review again- Good lord man! You know 'fan' is short for fanatic, of which you are one.

It was a great review by Noel. And I'm interested how different music produces different pictures..

In "Rain for Sunday" Noel saw a beach a cottage and palm trees. I saw a grey, drizzly afternoon in Soho, London, 1962 in the warmth of a rock n roll bar...

For me I thought of my uncle who raced motorcycles and big races were often on Sunday. Sometimes they were rained out so it was sad and would then be rescheduled so the day was filled with a sense of loss but also expectancy for the new big day of the race.

I am so amazed and thankful,
first for your support, seeking out and acquiring our music
and second - that a piece of music I wrote would and could create such imagery to others.....
I really enjoy hearing about the different feelings, moods and images our music conjures.
I have my own distinct imagery that inspired "Rain For Sunday" but for now mums the word as I'm digging others interpretations.
