I don't get what's rare about it and why it should cost $900. Don't these retail for much less? They make them by the hundreds for about as many players so I don't get the rarity thing of run-of-the-mill Fender reissue reverb. Unless this is a vintage unit, which I don't see claimed.

And it's made in the US, before they shipped production to China. Of course, "Made in the US" often means "Assembled in the US from Chinese parts". I'm not sure how "Made in the US" it actually is.
I have a tank just like this and I love it. These models are indeed harder to find than the brownface/chinese reissues, especially in such great condition (they're over 20 years old now). But I don't think it's worth $900. You can get vintage blackface for that price. That's just my opinion, of course, and I do wish the seller good luck.

My brown RI is stamped made in the USA. It is probably only 10-12 years old. I'd feel lucky to get $450 for it. Besides the 6K6 Dario gave me for it, it has the Fender tubes. Maybe that's something I should look into upgrading?
Anyway, Made in China? Maybe some of the parts? But the units are assembled in Mexico now, not China, and they are pretty well made.

Josh if I recall correctly, didn't you get yours for $400 or $450 -also a made in USA black reissue reverb unit?
