How often you gig.

not nearly often enough, but we've got two gigs coming up! in my ideal world, we do 1x month.

How much you make per gig.

not as much as the other guys in the band. Generally get paid between $0 and $150, but I always pay the drummer & bass player (now a keyboard player) at least $50 because playing for nothing is bullshit.

Where you live (or the area you gig in).

Boston.
The types of shows/venues you play.

Bars. Bars that have cool music.

What type of "surf" music you play - classic, modern, do you mix other music in, etc.

Modern.

this is an interesting thread...

What type of "surf" music you play - classic, modern, do you mix other music in, etc.
Pure surf, with occasional instrumental versions of pop songs, maybe two or three per set. The rest is self penned surf songs, or covers of surf songs.
