Finally finished my surf Gretsch Astro Jet (2-year project off and on). I bought a mid-60s unfinished mahogany Gretsch Astro Jet body (neck was custom made). I put on a mastery bridge and tremolo system (with the must-have UFO tip for the trem bar). The TV Jones T-Armonds are fantastic and it play surf very, very well. It turns out my Gretsch knobs don't match but I'll take care of that when I can. Also, I'll make a video of me playing it soon. On to the photos and display video!

Thanks! Nope, my blonde Deluxe Reverb. I do need to run it through the Vibroverb, my gigging amp - I'll make another video with the Vibroberb!

This is VERY cool. I'm incredibly passionate about the Jag/Jazz vibrato and the break angle/behind the bridge string length that comes with it. So seeing that feature on a guitar with a set neck is something I've always wanted to own.
Great choice on the color, and love Dynasonics.
Tighten your vibrato arm!

Thanks, guys, much appreciated! Jake, yeah, the break angle and the Astro Jet's body contour made it not feasible to put on a Bigsby (my first go to tremolo for a Gretsch) so we were initially going to put on a Jazzmaster tremolo. Then I thought I'd take the plunge and try a Mastery bridge and tremolo system instead. My tech still needed to put on a wood base to raise the bridge.
The TV Jones T-Armonds are pretty sweet! Love Dynasonics, too!
The vibrato arm is fairly tight and stays where I need it to, though there is not much resistance to move it. As long as it's not swinging wildly it's all good).
