I've been lusting after one of these for quite some time. I almost had a Jag finished like this, but was talked out of it. I own a Harmony made Fender acoustic that is the same guitar as this but with a Mahogany body. Not great with a pick, but really excels fingerstyle or strumming with your fingers. Big fan of these guitars!

The neck popped off with a little heat applied to the fretboard, no steaming needed. The neck has been placed back on, it has a new heel cap as it was lacking one, and a new bridge will be fashioned as well. Oh, and the veneer has been sprayed with amber lacquer to match the rest of the guitar(very few of these guitars have the original veneer). These photos are all credit to my buddy Michael Adams.

Same body and woods but different bridge. I have two of these in Mahogany as well, one with a bridge like yours. Anyways, I got Buck back last night after a reset. It will go back in for a new bridge.

I normally don't like steel string acoustic guitars at all. When it comes to acoustic, I'm a nylon/spanish man through and through. But that red white & blue baby is pretty damn cool looking. I love that bound headstock! I bet she sounds a good as she looks too. Thanks for posting such lovely guitar pr0n |

It does sound great! With a pick, it is a little bright but playing with hands/nails/fingers it sounds amazing. I really like strumming an acoustic with my hand, so it works out nicely. |

I have to say, I love some good acoustic guitar filling up space in a nice and moody surf song. They can be a nice alternative to a ride/hi hats. Just set a nice and tidy rhythm.

REALLY starting to bond with this guitar. It sits really well in a band/mix. Playing with my buddy today, and it just sounds great not matter what I was playing. I was clear, present, and never sounded too boomy.

Cool! I remember Buck Owens from reruns growing up, but didn't hear a lot of him until more recently. Lots of respect for him. |
