Permalink WTB: 12" Guitar Speaker

New Topic

Hey Folks,

I have a custom 15 watt Verllen combo amp in the works. El84 driven with onboard reverb and pitch-shifting vibrato. Clean chime to very rich overdrive.Kind of an AC15 meets a Magnatone M10 is the idea.

Looking for a 12" speaker, or maybe even a 10 incher. Woodworked hasn't cut the speaker baffle yet, so I have some wiggle room. You guys got anything you feel like parting ways with?

Weber? Jupiter? Bueller?
Let me know!
Thanks!

Nick,

One thing you might want to consider is to have the speaker baffle configured for either a 12 or 15 inch speaker including the T-nuts (or captive screw bolts). Then you can make or have made reducer rings to allow easy installation of a smaller diameter speaker should that strike your fancy.

A 12" speaker generally has a much bigger voice than a 10. Food for thought.

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

Thanks for the tip Eddie!

I was planning on a 12" cut initially, so I'll stick with that. Overall box isn't big enough for a 15'er.

Hi,
I have a "mint" Celestion G12M "Creamback" for sale that I removed from a Tone King Imperial. Let me know if you're interested.
Thanks,
Tom

Hi Jambie,

Looking for something with a little less wattage actually. Many thanks for the offer though.
