Selling my 6120 JR in excellent condition. These are pretty incredible guitars - They were only produced for a few years and are the perfect combo of hollow body tone and vibe with solid body playability.
The Juniors feature a slightly smaller body, both in thickness and overall size. This puts them a bit closer to a Jet than a traditional Nashville in size, and the thickness is more in line with a solid body guitar. This also gives them better access to the upper frets and a more comfortable playing position for anyone not used to full-size hollow bodies.
Despite the size change, the tone is every bit as full and bold as with a full-size 6120. There's a bit more focus to the tone, and the bass isn't quite as wide-open as a full-size, but otherwise its right there with the other Pro-line Gretsches. Obviously the FilterTrons nail the Setzer-style tones, but these are incredibly versatile pickups that are at home in almost any style.
Playability is excellent, with great action and tone up and down the fretboard. Electronics are in great shape with no issues. Cosmetically it's also in great shape, with some typical tarnish to the gold hardware, but other than that nothing to report.
Includes the original case and all case candy, and will be well packed and fully insured. It looks like Gretsch is making these again, but the price tag is up there and they only have Anniversary and Falcon models, so if you want the classic orange Gretsch you have to find one of these.
SOLD to the lower 48 or best reasonable offer. I'll also trade for a vintage Fender Brownface 6G2 Princeton + cash.
