I dig the blue burst Denis. Wish I could have been at the show, it looked like a killer time.

Well, hopefully, it won't be the last. If that's the case, we'll need to start writing new songs. From lurking on this forum, you guys probably know that Bill Aqua and The Reluctants Aquanauts will probably include 2 songs (unreleased) I wrote 7 years ago on their next album. I heard an arrangement of one of them, and they did a kick ass job on it.

Well, he did have a hacksaw in his other hand when he sold it to me. But I can run pretty fast when I want to. Very Happy

I watched the video today. I thought it would be horroble considering I was in the back and had the camera held over my head. So it's a little shaky but the sound is okay to compensate. Overall it's not that bad. I've only fiddled with video editing so it might take some time to put on You Tube. Or if you guys in the band want it, I can get it to you and you decide how you want to display it.
Cool
P.S. I recorded about half the show.

Excellent news. You Tube would be great! That's one of the things that was lacking, as we don't have videos. As for taking some time with the editing, hey, don't worry about it. Just let us know when you posted them. Thanks, it's really appreciated.

Denis,

Hey - I like the blue burst! Almost could work for Meshugga Beach Party.

Mel

Those photos are awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Denis!!

Great to see you around again, and the Treblemakers in action!! Can't wait to hear more new material from you guys - the Doomsday Device has stood the test of time, what a great CD!

Hope you guys do a lot more in the future.

Thanks Denis, the ones on the album are of a bit better quality and we learned them fully... But the acutal songs themself, as your brain children are pretty unbelievable.

Ivan,

Great to hear from you. I don't know if more material will come out of this little reunion yet. What I can tell you is check the next Reluctant Aquanauts CD when it comes out. Bill and Co are doing two of my unreleased tracks from way back, with their personnal take on them. I only heard one version of one of the track. The other one will be a complete surprise for me.

I checked your new stuff with The Madeira. Stellar playing, as usual. I'll give you the one compliment that probably pleases musicians the most: You really don't sound like anybody else.

Thanks, I definitely will! I wonder if I actually have your original demos of those tracks? I still have a tape in my possession of a whole bunch of your songs BEFORE you joined the Treblemakers! Some of those songs ended up on the Treblemakers CDs, but not all. Would these two be some of those?

Thanks, I think! Confused It's the sort of a thing you'd tell some hack dude attempting to play free-jazz on a sax! "Yeah, it sounds like s*$#, but you sure don't sound like anybody else!" (I know you didn't mean it like that, just couldn't resist to poke a bit of fun...)

In fact, you know, I always thought the same thing about your songwriting - it's very distinct. You definitely have a personal - and really cool - style.

Well, here's hoping new material DOES come out of your reunion. I'd be thrilled.

Incidentally, it's funny how 'they' all come back to surf music eventually! Frankie Blandino with the Fathoms is back. Phantom Frank came back two years ago with the Phantom Four. Now the Treblemakers. Satan's Pilgrims can't give it up, though they tried! The Bambi Molesters are working on a new album after trying a few other things for the last few years. For some of us this reverb stuff seems to be a pretty addictive brew.... Ain't it a beautiful thing??

Ivan,

Yeah, I remember this tape, under the band name "The Reef Wrecks", but the songs Bill will do come from just before The Treblemakers disbanded. I remember Zak was not too keen about them because he felt that with the rythm parts I wrote for the songs, technically, he would need to transform into some kind of robot. Good times Twisted Evil

Denis

Well I finally got around to posting all the video on YouTube. Here's a link to one of them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nq_BY88T4M4
