I recently picked this up as a trade (+ some cash). I have two other Chandlers, so was keen to expand my collection. Played it live already. Great neck, stays in tune, sounds good.

Sorry for the quality of the pic--used my phone.

1997 Chandler Futurama

that's cool

there was a Hofner Futurama back in the 60s

I quite like that. Not sure about the trem, but it's a nice looking guitar. Are they expensive?

http://thewaterboarders.bandcamp.com/

Well, about $1100 Australian--probably can find them around $1k US maybe a bit less. There was one on Reverb.com a number of months ago for under that.

The trem is a standard Strat sort of trem--Gotoh Wilkinson VS100.

Sweet! I really like this guitar, reminds me of my thorn C/S #8..

Chandler makes good guitars from the ones I have played

Cool guitar! Any interest in selling?

Nice. Chandler made some really interesting takes and morphs of classic designs. Very nicely made too. If I am not mistaken they were made in the USA.

Yes, the Chandlers were all USA made. I have 4 now--picked up an Austin Special this year. They come up rarely in Australia, so I grab them when I can, though I scour Reverb as well.

Unfortunately rw007 it's not for sale in the foreseeable future.

Short or long scale?

That's cool, Never hurts to ask.I do have the surf green one or whatever they call it. A great guitar! Chandler made some great stuff. I collect them. check out my facebook Chandler guitar fans page.

BTW Paul still makes pick guards for any and all guitars.

Super cool guy. Stands behind all his work past and present.

That's a great body shape. It's what the Jazzmaster should have been!

Bit of a thread necro, but I was checking out my Chandler Futurama today.

I think since I last posted I also have picked up an Austin Special and another Metro, in a red sparkle. That (the red Metro) is my go to guitar for playablity, just put the original pickups in storage and put a Lollar El Royo in the bridge and a Lollar Gold Foil in the neck.

7 years later I almost answer your question . . . sorry didn't see it until now. I will go measure it.

25.5" so long scale.
