Thanks again, guys. And thanks for the links, I will definitely check them out.
Actually most of the stolen gear in our town pops up in some of the pawn shops/thrift stores. At least that what other people told me, who got their gear stolen. Hopefully I will find it there one day.
But I personally still think it was one of the other bands practicing there, when they saw our door wide open. Wish I could check their practice rooms...
I'd ask the owner of the place if he'd escort you on a quick tour of the rooms.Or is it 'bring your own pad-lock set up?

UPDATE:
The police just called. They have caught them...
A man and a woman from the local drug scene. As we are close to the french border, they sold my stuff to a french drug dealer.
So the tank is likely to pop up somewhere on the french market.
The burglars don't have any money, so they will likely go to jail, but can't pay anyhing to compensate. Meaning if I don't find my gear somewhere on the market, there will be no replacement whatsoever.

Is this good or bad news in the end
Still bad, I assume as you don´t got your belongings back.

Did you have a record of the serial number? You'll need it to prove it's yours, unless you've marked it with your name/address/zip code.
I had to do this recently after my boat was burgled. The serial number was undeniable proof it was mine otherwise it's just my word against his.
(A tip for everyone: Photograph all your equipment, save it with the serial number then email it all to yourself. Just in case the worse happens)
Good luck, the police have a habit of finding a haul of stolen stuff once they catch the criminals - the prospect of prison can loosen tongues

Yes, I have everything recorded. The C10 mod, the tubes used, even the pan. Everything has my fingerprints on it and I have plenty of pictures + the serial number. Fingers crossed...

Excellent. The fingerprints are unlikely to be any help, but if you see one for sale, a quick check of the serial number is all you need to do.

Could someone check please, if the serial number is anywhere else on a RI unit, except the backpanel?

I am a retired law enforcement officer and what I would suggest to all you folks out there is to engrave your CDL, (oops, that's in CA), engrave your license number on the chassis.
The reason for doing so is that if your stolen equipment is recovered, or you see it on a bandstand, LEO's can run the license number.
Just a thought from someone who was in the business of catching crooks and who has also lost equipment to %#^&(** miscreants.
