I have to share to all of you out there that was a REALLY PLEASURE meeting in person some music friends, making new and see again the "old" ones.

Lorenzo, did the magic and Niels spread the news worldwide. thank you!****

also, the fact that we had differencies regarding which of the bands we liked most means that we are a big and healthy family!!!!!

i will miss you all, or maybe Lorenzo can arrange a SURFER JOE WINTER FESTIVAL..... Laughing

As reality is catching up with me, I am still amazed by this great weekend, Lorenzo has achieved something that is truly of epic proportions. I feel very privileged to be able to attend and enjoy Lorenzo's generous hospitality, while seeing some of the most amazing bands perform among old and new friends.

There is nothing like being at the moment, surrounded by friends, some around you, some on stage, playing amazing music. No videos can capture the moment unfortunately, although some pics (Like Arny's) manage to illustrate how unique this experience is.
Hanging out and meeting new friends, reconnecting with old ones, and getting to finally meet some SG101 members that I only new online was another major source of enjoyment.

Besides the memories, I got some music and t-shirts, no where near what Jeff made out with Smile

Hoping I can manage to pull this off again sometimes in the future.

Hey I do a summer and a winter show, but that being said
The shows here are nothing compared to what Lorenzo is doing.

For the winter surf fest.

I couldn't have said it better, it was a truly epic weekend. My only regret is missing the SG101 member meet 'n' greet due to a massive Long Island Iced Tea induced hangover...so I didn't get to meet most of you guys in person No Oh well, maybe next year hopefully, or at the SG101 Convention one day.

Like I told Niels and Jesper during our interview for NSSR: hats off to Lorenzo for organizing this truly amazing festival, it was a blast !

As BTD famously comments in the Reverb Junkies film, a performance by them isn't "attended" or "listened" to - it's experienced.

Far out, thanks! Cool

I was giving a quick review of some video I shot, a highlight I totally forgot about was Oleg pulling out a lap steel and Messer Chups playing some exotica. Great stuff!

Finally recovered enough and up-to-date with my work enough to pop on here and to say thank you, to all organisers, bands and staff at Surfer Joe for a great festival.

In no specific order, the amount of work and time setting up and taking down the stages, sound-checking, sound-desking, performing, feeding and watering (alcoholing) us all, cleaning up, running the merchandise stalls, presenting the radio shows, not once but four times between Thursday and Sunday night was immense. That is a small army of people.

It was great to meet so many of you, far too many to mention, and listen to so many marvellous musicians.

This was my first Surfer Joe Festival, and I really did not know what to expect, or how my wife would take it all. Needless to say, I was extremely happy on Sunday evening when she said, “When we come back next year…”
