Really looking forward to this. Will be my first Surfer Joe Festival... does that make me a Livorgin...?

Managed to get the last rooms in the Boston Hotel - seems like the folks on here have booked the whole town.

Only one and a half week to go! Looking forward to the Festival!

I am curious about the vocal sunday. And the line dance contest.

One day till we leave for Italy.
We land around noon Thursday.

Vocal Sunday?
Hmmmmm?
As long as there is reverb I think I'm still ok with it.

You mean you don't have your Surf Guitar 101 nickname tattooed on you body somewhere? Google God man, call yourself a surf fan?
It's alright. I will recognise you anyway.
Let us know what the weather is like when you arrive.

My sister and her bloke arrived yesterday. There one word on the weather was "Hot". Due a couple for daytime thunderstorms but clear nights. They're driving to Bologna for a couple of days first.

I ain't mad...

Thanks, I have my sister there in a hire car, but they can't guarantee they'll be around at the time.

Get a train from Pisa airport. You have to change at Pisa Centrale (which is one stop). It's easy and cheap. Don't get a cab; it's easy and expensive.

When you get to Livorno you may want to get a cab to the Giardino, although, if you have a map and don't mind a bit of a walk, it's perfectly do-able on foot, which is what we will be doing I imagine.

You can buy your train ticket from a machine by the platform at the Airport train station. Don't forget to validate your ticket, or you may fall foul of the ticket inspectors.

Think I paid around 20-25 euro from The Boston Livorno last year.
