Permalink WTB - Fender Re-issue reverb unit wanted! EU

New Topic
Goto Page: Previous 1 2

Bumping!
Ok, I been using the valverb for a few gigs and the reverb sounds great. But I was hoping to use the tremolo too and ditch my tremolo pedal, but I prefer the pedal. So ...I would still buy a black 230v Fender re-issue unit if I can find one for a decent price. Until then the valverb slays any pedal reverb I've owned.
Still looking...

I got one but i need it for my recording next weekend can sell ofter that

Thanks toddr513. Needs to be 220/240v.

Ok, ebay comes through again, got a brown one on the way! Cool
Looking forward to A/B'ing the Valverb and Fender[then selling one, cause there's only room for one Reverb in this flat.] Big Grin

Ok, my reissue reverb unit arrived and thankfully everything works fine.I immediately plugged in an RCA 6K6,Jan 12AT7 and old fender 7025.
However, A/Bing it to my recently re-capped/re-tubed Valverb it sounds harsher and tinnier, especially with any dirt hitting it. The Valverb sounds perfect regardless of what slams its front end.Its also quieter than te Fender Re-issue. Also, my Fender reissue seems to have a grounding problem connected to the footswitch jack. When no footswitch is plugged in it is fine.
Lastly, the Valverb works great on top of my amp, even on bouncy stages.Where as I can tell the Fender could be problematic [which is why some people hang em']
I guess what I'm trying to say is the Peavey is a killer,quiet,stage-friendly reverb unit.
I may try to find an old pan for the fender,do the mix cap mod and try to fix the footswitch ground problem. But the Peavey is what I'll be using live for the time being!
