Awesome! Love Neil Young, great to see him willing to acknowledge this

Storm Surge of Reverb: Surf & Instro Radio

Thank You Mom Surfing! I went right over and watched that, it was fabulous.
I remember Neil from when he first rolled into LA. This was at the transition point of First Wave surf bands careers. They were faced with the choice of starting to sing songs, or not get booked. They didn't mention Jim Messina in the film, but, he was involved in Buffalo Springfield as well. As a producer and he played bass in the recordings.
That is amazing, as the surf bands melted away, their best musicians merged into new, really fine bands. His surf band was The Jesters ever since he was 15! This was at the heyday of "cruising" I saw him on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood and on Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena. The Surfers had station wagons, service vans and Woodies all stuffed with surfboards. Neil's Hearse was really noticeable, it was stuffed with drums and Amplifiers, and it was a hearse! He still has the hearse, too.

Thanks again, brought back great memories.
was stacked with Drums and Fender Amps.

I should point out/confess at this time, that I was really digging all those fine cruisers, I liked the old school low-riders too. The Woodies were my favorites. But, I never did own one. the woodie in our Logo is as close as I got. I always drew cartoons of the cars I dreamed about.

I watched it too. Very good! Always been a Niel Young Fan.

On Randy Bachman's Any Road cd is a song called Prairie Town
he did with Neil Young, a song about growing up in Winnipeg, being in bands & leaving town.

Neil did 2 versions of Prairie Town.
A heavy version ( 1st video )
and a mellow countryish version ( 2nd video )
with Margo Timmons of the Cowboy Junkies singing.
