Hi Check out The Cavaleros. They are very active and just played 3 dates at Viva Las Vegas 18.

They're from Victoria B.C.

Hello!

We're from Canada. We're putting out a new album today. Let me know if I can still send you stuff!

Thank you so much - I have prepared for my show and have learned a lot! I have more than enough to fill the hour, so I think I will have to do a second show on Canadian surf bands, maybe in a month or two.

"Surf, Eh? Surf Music from Canada" will air on Saturday May 9 from 8-9pm Pacific time. 89.7FM or go to kfjc.org and click on Listen Online. Broadcast archives are available at kfjc.org for 2 weeks.

If any Canadian surf bands would like to send me CDs, etc - here is my address:

Cousin Mary, thank you for highlighting Canadian surf music.
I definitely look forward to hearing your show and will make a point of tuning in regularly from now on to your Friday evening shows.

Listening to the April 25 8-9pm playlist right now... Yes

Sorry, I was doing an Imperial/Metric conversion for days of the week (Canada only has 5 days a week: Mooseday, Beerday, Snowday, Mountieday, and Overtaxedday) and I can see that you are indeed correct BTD...yes, Beerday is indeed a Saturday not a Friday. My bad. Big Grin

Tomorrow (Saturday May 9) from 8-9pm (Pacific)!

Very excited to be able to include a recorded interview I did today with Mel Waldorf (Mel-tones) giving his impression of what was going on in Montreal with surf music in the 1990's.

Have tons of material I will not get to play tomorrow - planning to do another Canadian Surf special, probably in July.

Thanks everyone for your terrific help. Mary

Double YES!!!
