Firstly, I'd like to thank the sg101ers for the great support we received for our last album, Cinematic.
It's been two years since it's release and in that time, I've seen tons and tons of great psych/garage rock bands that are flourishing here in Los Angeles. It really made me think, what really would've happened had surf music really continued strong into '68.

That's the jumping off point from which the Trabants album, FREAKOUT was crafted - an attempt to really create a modern psych/surf blend.
There's a healthy dose of many assorted classic fuzz sounds, sitar guitar, phaser, tape echo effects etc...

FREAKOUT is going to be released by the Los Angeles based cassette label called Lolipop records. This is really great because many of the bands on their roster played a part in inspiring this album. The cd comes out this week and will be available on our May west coast tour. The cassette will be available through Lolipop 2 weeks later.

Congrats on the new album Eric.
Let us know where the May 16th show is,
And I'll be there. Can't wait to hear the album,
And the songs live.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

The new song sounds very cool Eric. Good luck with the shows and the album release.

I hope to make it to the Santa Cruz or SF show. I will mention it on the radio - lots of people who saw Eric with the Insect Surfers earlier this year will be interested...

Wait a minute! The Livermore show is THIS FRIDAY!! Don't think I will be there, but hope you get folks from the East Bay showing up!

Thanks Jeff, Cousin Mary and Brian!

I meant to give more advance warning but the dates shifted a bunch of times before they were final.

Also, here's a link to a nice write up that came out today with the single premiere from a local blog called Lo-Pie.
