Me too, looking for a budget bass for home recording and Squier seems to be the way to go but these are very cool looking. Can't find any in the UK yet though.

Holy price point; that could also put a bass in alot of guitar players' hands for a variety of uses.

Love the headstock.

Update: In my little burg there happens to be an ex-pat Brit running a small music store. But his massive online Ibanez biz keeps him in his Mercedes & regular Central American & Caribbean vacations. He doesn't have one, but could order one. They're even below what he would regard as his budget line. A few of the non-dealer online stores have a few presumably from NAMM orders. He doesn't really expect them be on the street till June (I note MF has them listed but out of stock till June as well).

Just put one on my wish list. Cheap bass, not for playing out or recording. Nice to mess with.

Enjoying the surf,sun and sand!!

I've had three Ibanez guitars with no complaints beyond the pups tend to be kind of generic (in bass, this can be a good thing). But for a solid inexpensive surf bass, I go right to my Squire, even before my P bass. Groovy

Cool

Nice. I had a Talman acoustic a few years ago. Not sure if it's a point of reference but it had a really nice slim neck profile, which these also look to boast going by the pictures.

I like the looks of these, but I'm curious as to how they sound.

With the right preamp, the TAB300 with the stacked jazz pickups would probably be a pretty good recording bass.

I just got a Ivory TMB-100 yesterday and I love it. Looks cool, sounds amazing. The quality is ridiculous at this price point. Very versatile with the 2 band eq and panning knob. Dial in the specific tone you need. It's light weight, has a nice vintage look but not generic. I've always liked the Talman shape so this was a nice thing for Ibanez to create. I won't hesitate to play this bass in my Church band, rock covers band or a future surf band. It's that good. Don't take my word for it, go out and play one and see if you don't agree! Also at $200, its' a no brainer!!

Just got my tobacco burst. DAMN! The finish is better in person than pics! Incredible bass! It's quality is top notch and sounds great. A little bright in my opinion even with treble rolled off and flat wounds. I can still slap (which I can't stand) and it's clear. Might have to put LaBella's on it. Great bass though. Really cool vintage vibe going on.
