Just got this from Double Crown last week, spun it a couple of times. REALLY cool stuff! Very Ventures influenced (with some Shadows influences on the last few songs, played with Licorice Locking, formerly of the Shadows, on bass and harmonica), HUGE chops, tasteful arrangements. They made me kinda enjoy Madonna's Like a Virgin, which is a hell of a feat! Anyway, great band!

I've sold a bunch of 'em, and am starting to get requests for their previous discs. I don't know if I can get them, but I'll give it a shot.

It's my understanding that The Charades are planning a tour of Mexico this coming May, with a possible tour of the US in September. Ditto what Ivan said about them earlier in this thread.

They sound good, but they sorta stole their album title from Satan's Pilgrims. Plus I think that looks a bit like Ted in the video Ivan linked at 0:36. Maybe they're secretly obsessed with SP's?
Good stuff, will have to get a copy.

The Charades sound fantastic. Half a dozen of their CDs are on Spotify. They are definitely worth paying Spotify to hear.
Lupin the 3rd is a Japanese anime, and what the Charades play is a theme song. I've heard other versions. Yes, it is terrific, and yet....
my very favorite Charades recordings in order (all are great fun):
Vivaldi Summer Twist
Shanti Baba (translation: Peaceful Grandpa, but sounds otherwise)
Scat in the Dark
Pocket Rocket Twist
From Russia With Love (100% on the nostalgia scale)
Sunny Afternoon (the old Kinks song but played too fast says wifey)
Soul Bossa Nova
I get the band's name--they portray things without saying them.
