Just taking an opportunity to talk about one of my favorite albums.
Hard to believe it is 12 years old now, I was a senior in high school when I got this one. It was on my minidisc player when I stepped onto my college campus the first time and I can remember when I hit play on this record.
First off, can you have a better opening track than It's Go Time? (Exolumnia... but this is about the Nebulas!) It's Go Time, those chords and then that pummeling of the E, but more importantly playing that same melody up an octave. Genius.
Bristol Express, have you listening to the original? Pretty hard to listen to(although you can hear the beauty that is that brilliant melody). The Nebulas make this song relevant, no longer a Shadows rip off the Nebulas own this version.
Running out of time, I'm going to skip to Supernova. That song is amazing, nothing more to say about it. I could listen to it until the end of the world. It is that perfect 'slow' song that gets you up and moving. Just perfect.
Everyone, what is your thoughts of It's Go Time?

I'm with you Jake. In fact Bristol Express is in my initial list of songs to work on when I took up surf music back in 2004 or so. And the original Tmen set had 3 Neb songs: Cosmos 954, Tuco's Lament, Vendetta( the latter two on their first CD). I wanted to add Supernova too but enough was enough
Just the right mix of aggressive playing, strong melodic work, simple effective arrangements. A perfect gateway into modern surf land. They even make Mosrites sound good

I really liked this band as well. Even though I'm from the midwest and they were from the east coast, I think I saw them live at least 3 times and hung out with them at the first Satan's Pilgrims reunion shows 9, almost 10 (!!!!!!!!!!!) years ago. I remember learning Bristol Express and several of their originals as well. I like all their stuff but the last full length is a bit hard to listen to because of the production, which is a shame because their are some good songs on there.
Yes, a reunion show or two would be nice! Not sure it will ever happen though sadly. But never say never, crazier things have happened.

Supernova is my favorite including the silence and hidden track.
Love that their sound has heavy reverb but you can still listen to each instrument clearly. Those chords in It's Go Time! ... pure energy!
