My friend John Benton from the Lively Ones asked me to list this due to his computer illiteracy. John is selling a custom '68 Fender Bassman and cabinet. Here's the deal:
'68 Bassman redone with new Blond covering and black face. Looks like a brand new '63/'64. He recovered the cabinet to match (Blond) and it has two Celestian 12' speakers. John is looking for $900 OBO. If anybody is interested he can get you pictures. You can message me back and I can get you his phone number if you are really interested.
Cheers,
Ted

John showed me this amp last week. It belongs in a museum. Some of you may remember the pics John posted of his gear some time back. Calling it vintage does not do it justice.

Ted and Tim, has the circuitry been 'blackfaced' or just the faceplate? Or, what circuit is it, AB165?

John says its the stock 68 circuit. The presence control is not tied into the circuit. The cab is 34" which is why it looks larger than normal.

I LOVE IT, I want it, but I spent my money taking two horses to the vet a few weeks ago. So I have to pass.
It sure is a nice unit.

Those are really from the 60's. They look like they just come off the factory floor.
Damn, that is some purty gear.

What is it about Craig's list? I posted this on CL for John. So far about 10 scammers have wanted to send me 'international cashiers checks" & have their shipper pick it up. This is a really old scam as the check is always worthless. Lots of lame questions & people offering $300 for the amp. CL seems to be a real wasteland.

Hey, I've played that garage - nice venue - friendly host! Seriously, though, John is a great guy, and this is a steal - the guy takes outrageous care of his gear. If i had the cash, I'd buy this amp -

John & I played that venue the day I took this pic. It's rather spartan but the fridge is well stocked.

My loss is your gain. I wanted it bad but the Mrs would have been very unhappy if I came home with another amp. She just doesn't understand. That amp will give you many years of pleasure & never go down in value.
