Hi everyone, we just found you guys! We knew there were a lot of surf musicians out there so we look forward to connecting. We're a San Diego band ages 11-14 - yep, we're kids but we love to play surf music. Anyway, we'll be checking out your posts and links to expand our knowledge and appreciation. Be sure to check us out too, we'd love to hear what you think of our music. We also have a regular gig each month at the Blackthorn Pub in Bay Park - next one is Saturday, Feb 21 at 6:30pm. Are there any bands out there that have gigs in S.D coming up?
Here are a couple of songs you might like...

How 'bout you tell us something of how you got started, decided to play surf music, and ended up with a steady gig? Some of us old guys would like to know the answer to that last question.

Great!!! A US band with young players!
Welcome to SG101!
You sound really good!
Keep playing as often as you can. With every gig you will get better.
Yes, I am also interested in about how you started your band. What else do you do? (of course practising…)
— Twang cheers!

Well our dad and the drummers dad play surf music and my dad showed us classic surf music and we then started with some ventures and dick dale. then came along our drummer Jamo. Then when he came along we stared playing faster. Then a year later our rhythm guitarist Diego joined.
Our dad went down Blackthorn Pub because we were looking for a steady gig at the time and he had heard us before so he booked us. Then the first time we played there the whole place was full.
