Any body here remember the Golden Bear at Huntington?
image
A lot of surf bands played there.

Joel

The Golden Bear was a great club!!! I never saw any surf bands
play there, but I saw Albert King, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers with
Mick Taylor, and many others there. I was crushed when they closed
it down!

Haven't seen one of those in years--sure brings back memories of high school for me in the 60's. Looks immaculate!!! Goober

Hey! The Tone Buggy can be seen in Denver, languishing in the lobby of an Ethiopian restaurant on East colfax, gathering dust.

Not particularly surf, but definitely cool and old school

Here is one movie that kept the (Surf) ball rolling along. I know, they were all silly. Very Happy

Joel

Maybe they were all silly back then but today they are just plain cool.
That one even have Jan & Dean doing the boss title track.
