Consequently, I'm selling a couple of items on eBay in the UK. I'll post links in the appropriate forum.

Los Fantasticos

Now all I need to do is restring, adjust the action and get used to the tremolo arm and knobs being in completely the wrong place!

Los Fantasticos

Congratulations Jon - that's a magnificent looking beast!

It is. It's even better in the flesh (well, not flesh, precisely, but you get my drift). However, is IS a Strat and it's going to take some getting used to for me.

Los Fantasticos

Gorgeous! Congratulations! It's very brave of you to get a Strat. It seems that most dyed-in-the-wool offset players never really are able to adjust to a Strat. But as beautiful as this one is, you have a lot of incentive to try! Good luck, and enjoy!

That didn't take long. I just saw them on Fender's USA website yesterday, and wondered how soon we'd see one here. Yours looks fabulous. Congratulations!

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

BTW, is that Daphne Blue? And look at how dark that rosewood is - YUM! Very chocolate-y. It seems that's pretty rare today. Nice matching headstock, too!

Oh yeah, Noel, now I remember seeing it on there, too. Here's the page for it:

It seems like just a very nice vintage-spec Strat, with its biggest selling point being the lacquer finish. Cool!

Nice buy Jon!
I've just ordered one of the 60s lacquer Jazzes:

What are you selling? That old Jag by any chance? It's probably not worth much, it's very old.

They're described as "Vintage style single coil Strat" pickups. Whatever that may precisely mean.

It's Surf Green, although there is a Daphne Blue one also.

Nice also. We can do a Surf Green duet.

You're right, the old Jag is pretty old. Can't imagine anyone wanting such a thing, so I'll just hold on to it. The Japanese Jag is for sale, though.

The vintage spec, lacquer finish and colour were what sold it to me. That and the lure of trying, once again to figure out where the trem arm sits and how to palm mute on a Strat!

Los Fantasticos

Is that an accurate rendition of the colour in your photos? It looks beautiful. If that's the same colour as mine I can't wait to get it!

It's a little less blue and a little more green in reality. It is gorgeous looking, though. They had one of those JMs in GAK when I was getting the Strat. It was sold, though. Looked very good.

Looks like you'll have to update your profile pic!
