It's got a cool garage sound (as played in the example).
I could see LOTS of uses for that instrument in lots of surf tunes with a cleaner signal. Really neat that you can incorporate such an instrument. And let's face it, you can truly say you don't see one of those very often.
The photo is cool too! You should send that to Brian and get it into the Photo of the Day rotation.

Yep, we were often told that we've got some garage sound and it made me go and listen to some garage stuff cause I never heard of this kind of music before) I even enjoyed some of it) We even were invited to play on a couple of garage rock fests, however I never thought of playing a garage rock) but who cares, it' all rock'n roll!
