Jake, If you're referring to my wife, yeah, she's pretty damn cool. http://www.facebook.com/CrazyAcesMusic |

Yep, I was referring to her. And I knew you worked in the shop and was incredible sharp about finishing guitars. I didn't know she toured with you though, that is super rad and must have been a lot of fun(seeing the world together). Bad drumming... she is a saint! |

Yes,I never sold guitars, only designed them. I have a minor, and quite insignificant connection to the company that does sell them, the J. Backlund Design/Retronix company. They are in Hixson,TN., I live in Summerset, South Dakota. I directly communicate with them perhaps once every month or two, where they 'update' me on what they're doing. Part of my original arrangement with them, dating back almost ten years, is that I was supposed to get one example of every guitar model that they made, but as it's turned out, that arrangement has been less than reliable. In the case of the JBD-400, as I've said, there were only four built, and those went to buyers who ordered them, and none of these were ever made for me, so in order to have one in my own collection of my design work, we've had to buy it, at substantial cost I might add, but that's life, and at least I now own a JBD-400, thanks to my wife.
