Yes, plenty of interviews.
It's probably a good thing they started this years ago as people's memories can fade or distort.
There is a good percentage of the documentary focused on Tommy Tedesco which is understandable with his son's involvement in the movie.

Many of the comments after the interview are very interesting, especially the ones referring to old record liner notes crediting the "Wrecking Crew" long before Carol says Hal Blaine coined the name. Ah well, I'm in awe of what Carol can do with a bass, and there are conflicts over what happened in other music documentaries, too. Watch "Twenty Feet From Stardom" and "Muscle Shoals" for two completely different viewpoints on race relations.

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie. It's an interesting insight into how the music industry works. To think there was a time I honestly believed that the bass player of the band played the bass on the records...

Having seen an early cut at one of Denny's screenings, all I can say is, I believe you'll love it more than you can imagine. I came in with high hopes, and every one was far exceeded by the film.

Launch date moved up to January 21 in Bend, OR followed by Toronto in late February. Whew! Finally! check the website, pretty impressive! Trailer opens with Beach Boys and is heavy with instrumental surf tracks and Carol is in the trailer explaining how she came up with the intro to The Beat Goes On.

Saw it yesterday - WOW, this film was mesmerizing to an old guy like me who grew up listening to the music these guys so skillfully played.

Actually, there were a few nods to surf music - Al Casey was in the film, The Marketts were mentioned and there were flashes of some notable surf LP album covers with "Out of Limits" as background music along with a short segment on the T-Bones' "No Matter What Shape (You're Stomach's In)", which was a radio hit back in the day and was used in an Alka-Seltzer commercial that I must have seen a thousand times on TV and was added to our (The Mariners) set list in 1966 right after the record was released.

If you are a fan of late '50's and'60's music on any level, this film is a must see. When the DVD/Blu-Ray (hopefully) becomes available, I'm ordering mine on the first day.

Ditto. Even my wife got to be a fan because Tommy's column in GP was literally the first thing I turned to regardless of who was on the cover.

That was always such a fantastic and entertaining column. I used to page to that one quickly as well
