Permalink Los Straitjackets are Surf Rock!

New Topic

So, Nick Lowe is playing in town tonight. As much as I like him, it wasn't quite enough for me to try to get a sitter. But as it turns out, his guests are Los Straitjackets!

The combo would have been enough to get me to make arrangements to go. Pity none of the ads said who the guests were until this week.

Anyway, the local paper says LS are Surf Rock, so they must be. Capitalized and everything! Big Grin

LS are his backing band for the tour, and I do 't think they are the opening act. I bet it will sound great.

So, another failure of the local media...

Mucho professional no matter what they do. Get the sitter & have a good time.
Where are they playing?

(we need to conspire to get The Madeira or some more folks to swing "up & over" our way when the weather gets better, maybe hit the High Noon...)

Playing at the Barrymore.

And I'd get the sitter in a minute if it would actually happen. But it won't.

Don't know about the High Noon, but I do have an in at the Knuckledown (owner was my roommate for about 8 years).

Yeah, that show sold out fast in my area. I wish I had been able to make it.
