It is sooooo cool seeing all of the completed projects and hearing the excellent feedback! I'm shocked that MORE reverb junkies haven't jumped on this?! It really does sound amazing! Mike, your graphic is just too cool! Love it! I actually think that will help folks put theirs together even easier. I wish I had had it when doing mine! Incidentally, for those that are less experienced with the electronics side of things, the blue thing at the bottom (3PDT) is the on/off footswitch (I had to look it up--duh!). —Insect Surfers Last edited: Oct 21, 2014 13:14:46 |

Thanks gents, I hope it does help someone! I actually just took Bjorn's diagram into photoshop along with images of the other components, used the pen tool to draw the wires, stroked the path, and applied a couple of layer effects to the lines (outline and shadow). Not really the intended purpose of a photo editor, but it does the job. I'll post pics of the enclosure soon, but it's pretty cool... smaller form than what others seem to be using, sparkle paint, and the pan is mounted under my pedal board (vibrations don't seem to be a problem either, I'll hopefully confirm soon). — |

Bjorn – the stickers arrived today and I stuck one on my toolbox enclosure. Get pictures up soon. You deserve my reverberating accolades! Now if you could design a FET version of the Magnatone stereo vibrato... — |

There are commercially available pedals that more or less mimic the Magnatone 280's stereo vibrato circuit: the Big Tone Music Brewery Maggie and the Bigfoot FX Magnavibe. Schematics and vero/stripboard or PCB layouts for the latter are easily found on the internet if you want to build yours — no ready-to-assemble kits though. —Old punks never die... Bjorn! Thanks for the stickers! Not only is your product incredible, but your customer service is shockingly good! Seriously, Surfy Bear should be a household name for anyone that gives a crap about the sound of spring reverb! —Insect Surfers |
