Heard a short clip of a song I didn't know at the Minnesota History Center's Toys of the 50's, 60's and 70's exhibit. It was in part of their interactive trivia game.

Last night on Belgians most populair tv chef's show they played 'Body Surf' by Aki Aleong & The Nobles. Apparently this week he's cooking his dishes at the beach so it's nice they chose this fine surf track to play in the background. |

This idea had to come from Frisell :)) —original compositions (low-level demo stuff /out of tune, etc) myStuff not my best, but i don't like to be in a musician community without anything to show |

I hear it unexpectedly as bumper music on cable news. Just recently I heard "Journey To The Stars" as background for a teaser for a upcoming mission to Mars segment. |

Watching TV on Columbus day and saw a Delta faucet commercial featuring "Wipe Out" as the background music. Much better than the original version! —Enjoying the surf, sun and sand!! |

A trailer for a documentary on British TV about our Welfare system has Pipeline as the background music. It's a bit quiet and I've been practicing it recently so I at first thought it was in my head - but it's definitely there! It's a Surf revival! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EfLndT2Ubw Hope everyone with gigs and radio shows has a good weekend..... —Wherever you go, there you are http://rogerfowles.co.uk/ |

the last year i was enjoying my Christmas Holiday in Sri Lanka, i was relaxing in a resort in the jungle near Sigirya when after dinner a local 3 piece "band" came up playing the ventures and shadow hits (with a black custom les paul copy and a transistor amp+digital reverb) FANTASTIC! —elSentenza Watang! That's one of the great things about music - it's universal and reminds us in a good way that we're all the same under the skin... —Wherever you go, there you are http://rogerfowles.co.uk/ |

"Apache" for a Kohler toilet commercial(!) I finally watched Breaking Bad. GREAT show. Heard the Bambi Molesters on one episode. Cool! Satan's Pilgrims "Creature Feature" opening theme on Ghost Adventures (The Travel Channel). |

I've just seen a preview for a TV program on the welfare system (called Benefits Britain) using Pipeline as it's background music. I thought it was in my head at first. An utterly bizarre combination. |

I know a book store where they play surf, instros and North Sea Surf Radio all day long. I really love that shop. (Maybe 'cause it' mine ;) ) —Home is where your surf records are |

Two days ago Surfin Bird was played during a break on a talk show on a French national radio station. Not something you hear every day... ...although to be frank I've never considered Surfin Bird Surf — more like Punk rock way ahead of its time —Old punks never die... They just become surf rockers. |

Not exactly surf, but it was a nice surprise to hear "Telstar" last night while having dinner at the local rib joint. — |

Yeah. I was just a bit disappointed to learn it was just royalty free stock music. davidphantomatic wrote: — Paul |

Dropped into Dana Point Harbor for dinner this week. Local hotels created a very large light show with audio around the marina. The soundtrack for the show is a mix of the Ventures and Beach Boys Christmas albums. First year for this event, so there is room to improve, but it is free and worth seeing during the week as weekends can be crowded and the boat parade is tonight and Saturday. —Happy Sunsets! |
