Thank you very much, really appreciate the kind words. I'm sticking with the factory size strings for a while, there is no way I am giving up my guitar for 2-3 days to have a setup done. —MooreLoud.com - A tribute to Dick Dale. New Singles "Finish Line" and "Paradiso" on Bandcamp and website. |

I'm a sucker for those bound necks with the block inlay... Very nice harem you've got there. |

Haha Manu oui, une partie de la famille. There's a couple more family members that didn't get their picture taken yet. —"Duck Tape is like The Force: it has a light side and a dark side and it holds the universe together" https://www.facebook.com/pages/Speedball-JR/151771678181829?fref=ts |

Hiya Christoph, yeah there's a few more hanging around the house: a black Tele Deluxe, a sunrise orange Epiphone Emperor Swingster and a gold Gretsch Electromatic Pro Jet. And then there's the acoustics of course. Boost wrote:
Thanks man, I've only used the Dano for a gig once a couple of years ago. I love the sound of that thing, but the pickups are very low output and at the same time extremely microphonic...so it doesn't really suit my purposes in the band. I would probably use it more on stage if I would be playing clean, more traditional surf. —"Duck Tape is like The Force: it has a light side and a dark side and it holds the universe together" https://www.facebook.com/pages/Speedball-JR/151771678181829?fref=ts |

Been playing this 65 Jazzmaster since 1983. First pic is the from the day I bought it. Lots of wear and tear over the years. I Had it refretted 18 years ago and it's going to need another refret soon. At one point I modded the tone control with a Torres midrange control kit. It didn't have much effect (can't remember why I thought I needed it), so I put it back to original with the saved parts. I currently play it with Rotosound Top Tape flats. About 20 years ago I cut up a thin Dunlop pick and shoved pieces of it between the bridge saddles to cure the buzzing. Previous owner must have wanted a Strat because he totally removed the headstock decal with steel wool or something. Back in 84 or 85 I got a Strat decal (couldn't find any Jazzmaster decals back then) and kind of modified it... Last edited: Oct 22, 2014 06:26:48 |
