Ok so I'm guessing this is a subject that some of you would know about. However I have searched the forums and found nothing so here goes.
We all know vintage Fender Heads and Cabinets (Bassmans, Bandmasters etc) used a piggyback clip bar system to lock the head onto the box for stability. Works well and in fact Bandmasters, tremoluxes and Showmans etc are interchangeable between heads and cabinets. Now, if you get a Bandmaster box and Bassman head (like me) suddenly there is a problem as the Bassman is not as wide and therefore its clip bars won't reach the studs/knobs on the Bandmaster cabinet.
Does anyone know of any work arounds for this that don't involve drilling new stud holes? Has anyone made custom extra long piggyback clip bars for example to accommodate this.
I figured if anyone knew it would be someone on this forum. Thanks
