Ohhh man, I'm a day (hour anyways) late as usual. Tim Fitzpatrick's the best and Goo Goo Muck is one of my all time favorites, that would have been fantastic to see/hear. Maybe someone has a video.
Got there in time to see the end of the Eliminators set and saw most of Insect Surfers. Blew me away, great stuff.
Met Jeff that morning (I was the dork in the cycling gear), great to meet you and I really hope they're able to keep these shows going for years into the future, because they are fantastic. I'll plan better next time to catch all the acts. Really bummed I missed Dynotones. Unbelievable how many people are strolling by those pier shows without the slightest idea of how great the music being performed is by world class musicians.

Thats a huge compliment Dave .... thank you.
I must say ... for those that dont already know... if you are out at a gig or event and you run into Dave either playing or hanging out... you are for sure in the right spot.
Short story.... I was at one of Link Wrays last gigs on Hollywood Blvd. Link kept yelling at the sound guy to turn up the house speakers. Then everytime he wanted to make feedback he would hold his guitar over the audience ....as opposed to going to the amp like most guitar players.
Its was amazing ....and at Motorhead volume levels AWESOME
Then Link throws his guitar in the audience for someone to make noise....
BUT this someone in the audience knew how to play the song...
WTF !!!!!!
So I looked down from the balcony and it was Dave Arnson playing Links guitar. Very cool moment !!!
You are awesome Dave.
Cheers

Awesome story, I can easily picture that, so funny. He probably played it better than Link!
I'll definitely try to be there at Irwindale and introduce myself. Please post on the calendar if you guys have other shows as well.
(Edit to add: guess I need to work on my forum posting/quoting skills, will do better next time.)
