I've just posted new photos of the Torquays at the Fullerton Museum
Center. They played almost 2 solid hours of one song after another.
They had a 2 page set list and pretty well completed it. It was soooo
good to hear them play again. So solid a sound and soooo trad. They
play way to seldom. They played both covers and some of their songs
and mixed them up pretty well. They covered some Ventures songs such
as Yellow Jacket, Perfidia and Journey to the Stars. They included a
couple of spaghetti westerns, Ghost Riders for one. The Fireballs were
present in Vaquero and Rik-a-tik. Perenials such as Penetration, Baja,
Squad Car, The Wedge, Jack-the-Ripper, Mr. Moto and more. Of their
own compositions, they played Speedboat, Twilight At Trestles, Overdrawn
at Cortes Bank, Trilobite, Milagro Del Mar, Rescue At Mavericks and more.
The Torquays left little time between songs, sometimes going directly into
the next tune immediately. I don't think I've enjoyed hearing them so
much. They did a terrific job.

Rich, "the page is not found."

Rich, "the page is not found."

Remove the period.

Thanks, Tim. There's always something that sneaks in. IT'S FIXED!!!!!!

I really wanted to go to this, and was planning on it, as I had the time, and its close. , and I heard they don't have anythign else planned for summer.
But my friend Jon Paul that works for the Tiki Magazine, called and said he had an extra comp pass for the SHAG documentary at the Neport Film fest, and the after party, with Free food and booze.

So I couldn't really pass up an oppertunity like that, but I am bummed I didn't see the Torquays , I always dig them.

thanks for the pics, and review Rich,
the only thing better would have been 3 sets like bands used to do in Fullerton from 6 to 9.

Rich,

Thanks for coming to the show, taking the photos, posting the photos and writing the nice review!

It's always good to see some familiar faces in the audience that can endure my live guitar work!

I'm sure glad we had my Jaguar tuned up and on stage for Steve to use when he broke a string!

Special thanks to Bob Mytkowicz for changing the string out while we kept playing!

I have posted some shots I took of our gear while setting up at...
