Picking a name is the easy part...finding one that has not been taken is difficult. Like Noel, I often think about band names and find someone else is using them.

Happy Sunsets!

The Intestones
Orin's Hatch
Stomach Monkies
Baggy and the Bowls

Either you surf, or you fight.

I've been saving this one. If you use it, let me know:
Devyls Advyl

Squink Out!

Discount Dracula , of you go the monster surf route.

The Pier Shooters

The Neptune Society would fit in as the closer on this bill.

Buy Speed of Dark @ Bandcamp

I've been thinking about this surf band name for years:

The Saline IV

Drip drip.....

Josh,
Ugh & the Ooooooftones

Omega Soc. is another cremation outfit that is riffing on Neptune Soc. I guess re-purposing the name outside of funerary context voids any copyright consideration? Thinking about how the 80s LA 'paisley' band The 3 O'Clock chose their name, after running into trouble as The Salvation Army makes me think Neptuners wouldn't let it go.

Those three names are all black-humor relating to my work in hospice. DNR stands for "Do Not Resuscitate", the medical order for which is the Advance Directive. Ironic that I need CPR certification to qualify as a chaplain.

How about:

The Mermaid Men (not the Mermen)

The Teleki-Li's (Poe/Lovecraft ref.)

Shuggoth Otis & the Starry Wisdom Drifters

Squink Out!

Your notions suggest to me:
The Salivation Army (that's why they play instrumentals)
The Donut Resuscitators
The Cream Eaters

For that matter, your posts generally suggest:
Hospice Outreach

The actual choice is among:
Normal Saline IV
Half Normal Saline IV
5% Dextrose with Normal Saline IV
5% Dextrose with Half Normal Saline IV
and of course
Ringer's Lactate IV

My taste usually runs to Half Normal.
That's an amusing band name.

Gnarly Chops

He who dies with the most tubes... wins

Surf Daddies

Twang Und Klang

He who dies with the most tubes... wins

Surf Daddies

Miskatonics

album: Party with the Deep Ones

single: Meet Me at Devils Reef

Squink Out!

I'll go with my old standby for the math/engineering crowd:

Navier and the Stokes

Another one for the science geeks: the Surfactants

Old punks never die... They just become surf rockers.
