My first post to this site. I'm an active member of the FatWreckWiki forum if anybody is into punk rock....
Anyways, I got into surf music about the same time I did punk rock, around the early 90's. Luckily, I had a teacher in school that knew a lot about it, so he fed the fire and 20 years later, I'm still hard into it.
I'm going to post a link to a new demo I did of a surf instro track. There's another on the same "ep". There are also several other styles of tracks on the site. Feel free to browse. I'm pretty sure everything is free or pay what you want if you really want to download something. Cheers!!!!!!

I gotta ask what is a Hoagiebait? I was in the USMC from 1969-1972 and we had a term for Candy....called it Poagie Bait. Poagie Bait truck was what they now call the "Roach Coach" We also called it the GeeDunk Wagon. A Hoagie is a name for a Sub Sandwich. Just curious I guess.

Hey Craig. Funny question. Actually, I'm a Marine, too, and that's where it comes from. People sometimes call me Hoagie and Hoagiebait was a natural step from there!

A Hoagie is still a Sammich to me. Sorry. Poagiebait is Poagiebait.

Great stuff!!
I really like the songs! You got a surf style of your own
'Surrounded by Water but...' is awesome. Didnt think simplistic drums could fit that well into the surf music. Drum machine?

Thanks bjoish. It is an app for iPhone caped drumtrack8 I used. I was surprised how well it came out. It was basically a drum machine. Unfortunately, they stopped updating the app and now I can't use it without it crashing constantly.
Cheers

Listened to Lunar Barrels - really dug the choppin' drum parts. The guitar was a bit in the back of the mix and the picks a bit unclean. But nice freshman effort and very surfy feel.
