Lee Van Cleef, Enjoy the GFS Surf 90's I hope they meet your needs.
To anyone wondering about conducting business here on the forum, Mr. Cleef made payment as soon as I requested, actually I asked him to hold off a few days until I could remove the pups from my custom built Surf Stat. All-in-all an easy transaction. Thanks again, Blackheartsfan

What I have done so far with GFS pickups, and so far so good.

Note sweat marks on Jag. It gets used.
I am open for endorsements from GFS hint, hint.

How are you liking that Dano-style 3 pt. bridge, Cad? I just got a Squier VM JM body with one. I may buy another Mosrite-style bridge & top-mount vibrato tailpiece for this build. What is your experience of the stock 'modded' bridge?

I can say the same about Blackheartsfan. He went on with the transaction despite having to deal with storms and floods, and on top of that made it very easy. He unsoldered the pickup leads rather than just cutting them to preserve maximum length, included the original boxes and paperwork. How professional is that? Definitely recommended.
I haven't had the chance to try the Surf 90s yet -- I'll install them in my Eastwood/Airline when I get a little free time, probably next week. Can't wait!

First impression was that of dismay, String height is easy enough like an old Dano. Intonation is less easy, but not impossible. Loosen all strings and each saddle screw, not too loose there needs to be some resistance. retune strings and with flat screwdriver and little bitty hammer to slide bridge pieces tap to tune . I start flat and move up to intonate. mark the spot with fine point sharpie loosen strings, retune strings, drink beer. My new Dano Pro 1 has the same bridge. Is it better than the old Dano popsicle stick bridge. Meh.

I've used several sets of GFS pups over the last 5-7 years in different guitars, and couldn't recommend them more highly. From what I gather, Jay designs them and finds the cheapest manufacturers to build them to his specs...which I imagine is Korean.

I've been watching eBay for about six months, and sure enough one pops up when I forget to look
Thanks for the heads up! The auction closes at 4AM my time, so I won't be able to counter last-second auction sniping. Fingers crossed.
