For those of us traveling with young guitarists it would be helpful to know which shows (if any) are all ages.

Barklays is a restaurant, kids might be OK, I'll check. That's Casino 66, Surf Coasters and Frankie and the pool boys Friday night.

That helps, thanks. We should be getting in late Thursday night and leaving Sunday afternoon. That gives us enough options.

All I wish I knew what they were talking about

Barkleys is OK for kids until 10:30. I'll post which bands are playing before that time as soon as I know.

For anyone near San Clemente the Surfing Heritage and Cultural Center will host The Endless Summer party on Friday, August 1st at the museum. No surf music but the best board collection on the planet. The feature exhibit this month is a huge collection of The Endless Summer memorabilia. Bruce Brown's gear including cameras along with the projector and tape player he used to show his films are there. If you missed the 50th anniversary event in May, this is your second chance. Google Surfing Heritage Foundation for details.

Happy Sunsets!

For those of us that told our parents that we were going to the movies when we were really going to the Rendezvous Ballroom, there is an ordeal called the Rendezvous Ballroom Reunion August 2nd and 3rd at the Garden Grove Elks Lodge. Event runs from Noon to Midnight each day..YIKES! It will take that long to get all 100 musicians a chance to play. Organized by Tom Potts, Ken Jones, Pat Quilter, Steve Schmitt and Rob Jolly.

Happy Sunsets!

Tahiti jack,
Sounds really cool. here is an article on the event:
