Hello-
Here is a link to a video I posted on our band Facebook page. I have not uploaded the video to Youtube yet.
https://www.facebook.com/thedelbocavistas?ref_type=bookmark
I'm hoping to use the video as promo to get some more gigs. We've been together for about six months. The footage is from our third gig back in April 2014. Warning There is one song with vocals.
Comments welcome!
Thanks
Tom

Tom,
Some great sounds there.
As far as comments go I'd offer this, take it or leave it of course, If you're shooting video as promo to get gigs maybe try to smile a little more and loosen up.....?
Folks like to hire bands that look like they're having fun and even if a person is introverted it helps for others to see some levity and vigor.
It's really cool that you have vocals. That will certainly open up the possibilities for other gigs and it sounds like you're covering some really cool material.
Do you know or have you introduced yourself to RevHank here on SG101?
He's from Halifax as well. Maybe you all could do a gig together.
More video when you shoot some. I love your tone!

Thanks for the comments Crazy Aces. I totally know what you mean about smiling and loosening up. Not easy to do when focusing on all those notes! lol
I read a discussion thread that talked about that very subject and how people tried different things. Definitely on my list of things to work on.
I have met Rev Hank at an Urban Surf Kings gig and suggested we gig together. They're legends around town so it would be an honour to play with them. And a lot fun, too!

I'd agree with you there. They've had quite the career, much respect!

Don't take any advice, or astronaut pens, from Jack Klompus.
Advice from Crazy Aces is a real bonus. Those guys know their bidness.
Keep up the good work, TeeJay!

Legends? Nah, we don't know when to quit. Thanks for the nice words!

Thanks. The Seinfeld reference makes me laugh.

Thanks for the comments, always helpful. And Revhank, a show in the Fall would be great. We're playing the Alderney Landing Market this Sat July 12 and Sat July 26 in the morning, if you're around.
Cheers,
Tom

Good stuff. Your bassist is really good too.
The audio is slightly distorted on your video or else my headphones are shot. LOL It would be good if you could lower the levels if you are going to use it for promo material.

Thanks skatexedge. I did lower "Boots" but because it was filmed from a different vantage point, the sound was louder with a lot more bass.
On another note, I bought a Fender Reverb tank off Ebay. I found one that was located in Canada so that cut down on the shipping. It came in at about $465.00 US delivered, so not bad. Should be here in a couple days. Can't wait!
Here's the Ebay link for those interested:
