I debated posting a link to this video, but the truth is, I'm really proud of my daughter's performance and beautiful choreography in her dance titled "Changes". And for a guy normally bashing the drumkit, I'm really happy with the way the song "The Waltz with No Name" turned out.
This was definitely a team effort. What started out as a little chord progression on the acoustic, evolved into something much more interesting when my daughter requested it be "more dramatic and about 2-minutes long".
It's a stretch to say the video or underlying music is surf-related, but SG101'ers may dig the Morricone vibe of the song. The audio quality of the recording isn't the best, but hopefully gets the idea across. The dance company's performance is spectacular regardless. Hope you dig it.

It's so freaking cool that this great song was specifically created for your daughter, so that she in turn could create something else from it... it's not exactly the kind of thing you hear every day. So well done from beginning to end, and definitely merits some pride!

Excellent Murph. Both of my daughters were on the dance team in high school. Wish I could have done something as cool as that for them!

Thanks for all of the nice comments everyone! I will definitely share these with my daughter. I also wanted to give a quick shout-out to Mike, Fady, and Crispy for lending their ears and providing helpful feedback on the original demo... much appreciated guys!
