Permalink Quinn Octal-Derby w/ 2x12 and Gomez Reverb

New Topic

I'm thinking of selling my Quinn Octal -Derby(which is a boutique 1961 6G3 Fender Deluxe circuit) with an additional channel with an old school octal tube preamp. This also comes with a "Weber Z-Matcher" to match impedance between the head and cab.

Also with this listing would be my matching 2x12 cab with Weber Blue Dogs(1 AlNiCo and 1 Ceramic.)

SOLDAnd finally my Gomez Amplification stand alone reverb tank(which is modeled after the Fender 6G15, of course...)

All these pieces were built to order for me, including the speakers, and are in matching blonde tolex and wheat grille cloth(think of it as a slightly smaller, yet identical, setup to what Setzer uses.) I haven't had much use for all the power, I just play in my apartment and am looking at getting something smaller, as I'm sure my neighbors are too...

Everything here is one of a kind(except the reverb tank, Gomez built 6 of the blonde ones, to my knowledge at the time) and I paid with time and money to get all of this, waiting 7 months alone just to get the amp, and various speaker, tubes, and other mods to get this thing sounding as sweet as can be over the past few years.

I just wanted to see if there's any interest, but I am serious about selling. Shad(Quinn Amps) isn't really building amps right now, and I think he's not doing the Derby anymore as well. and Gomez isn't building the G-Spring anymore. I'm not trying to drive the price up by saying that, just that you're not going to find these too many other places, if at all...

I'm in the SF Bay area and would prefer a local deal, I'd be willing to drive some distance, but I'd rather not ship 3 giant boxes... and worry the whole way. Price is set at $1,650 for the package. Shoot me an email at trevorhilton8404@gmail.com if you're interested.

REVERB SOLD

Price Reduced to $1,650.

I can't believe there haven't been any bites on here... Would it help if I told you guys I sold my '62 Fender Bassman and '61 Fender Princeton because I love this thing so much?

This thing was built by Shad with extra love and attention while I was deployed to Afghanistan, there was also a 7 month lead time... so I had a nice little present when I got back. Sad to sell it now, but times are tough.

I can certainly vouch for Shad's work. He really got my Princeton Reverb and Twin Reverb in shape when he was still living in Vancouver, WA.

Yeah, he does great work and stands by it. He's always there to answer questions and help with whatever you need.

Bump, and let's start seeing some reasonable offers and questions!
