Ever optimistic.... Solid intermediate(+) guitarist (in my 50s if you care) looking to team up with bass and drummer to explore surf/psychedelic/instrumental (but if you really like to sing - we can talk about that) concept. Enthusiasm more important than great chops (to start) but I am committed to working hard & improving as a musician and you should be too. Looking to put a few sets together to play out once or twice a month. I am looking for a situation that will let us collaborate and create music together and I'm more than open to your ideas. I live/work in the South Bay (of L.A. county) but am willing to travel some to make this happen. Robert

Robert, Welcome to the site. We have a lot of members in the SoCal area so hopefully you'll get some responses.

Welcome Robert, good luck with your project. We're in the same neighborhood (and age bracket)and I know how tough it is to find good bass players and drummers who are interested in playing this stuff. I was forced to recruit my daughter's boyfriends and their pal (23, 17, and 17) so I feel more like a mentor than a bandmate . It's all good though, they're stoked on the music and they've got energy to burn.
I'll put out some feelers among the non-SG101 guys I know and see what I can find.
Again, welcome and good luck!
