Permalink FS/FT DeArmond Hollow Body (X155) with Bigsby

I've decided to sell/trade my X155 to get something a little more surf-friendly. My main guitar is a Guild X160 with DeArmond 2000 single-coil pups which surfs just fine.

But I've been GAS'ing for an offset Fender or Mosrite (clone or otherwise) solid-body. My thought is that maybe someone out in SG101-land has considered adding a hollow-body to their arsenal and has one-too-many offsets gathering dust. So maybe we can work up some sort of trade?

The X155 is in really good shape. A few nicks on the headstock and a small divet near the input jack that is barely noticeable. As a matter of fact, I had the guitar several months before I ever noticed it! No buckle rash or unsightly blemishes. The guitar did not have a pick guard when I got it, but could easily be installed.

It is equipped with DeArmond Gold Tone Humbuckers which sound very nice, but not the best tone for surf. The Bigsby works great and I've had zero tuning or intonation issues. It's a really sweet sounding and playing guitar! The neck is nice and straight, action is low, and no fret-wear to speak of. I have a gig bag for it, but it did not come with a hard-shell case.

I guess if I had to put a value on the guitar, it would be in the $500-$600 range. Again, I'm hoping for a trade of similar value with the option for either party to add cash to the deal. Naturally, I'm happy to answer any questions, take more pictures, and even drive several hours to help avoid shipping costs for both parties.

Thanks for reading,
-murph
