Saw this on their Facebook feed yesterday. Smile

Truly a great and talented band that keeps getting better

Very cool, congrats for them.
just bummed me out though, that they can't come here
this summer.

I met Israel "Bisfer" on March, great drummer & nice guy.
I was expecting to meet Oleg & Svetlana this Summer. No
Maybe next year?

Bisfer - the drummer with the best view in surf music. Twisted Evil

Very cool! I don't know how many people realize that Bisfer is also the drummer for Los Twang! Marvels as well as Bang! Mustang! He gets around - and deservedly so, a great drummer who definitely gets surf music.

I finally got the Messer Chups' "Church of Reverb" CD just a couple of weeks ago - the remastered, expanded version. Man, it's great! Some of the best super-trad surf I've heard in a very long time. Highly recommended! Real bummer they won't be coming to the US for the convention.... Mad

Yes

If I'm not mistaken, he plays with the Rob Ryan Roadshow as well now (if you like a bit of country, like I do), he's an excellent all-round drummer.

Absolutely ... I 'saw him playing with the three bands over the years and I like his style pretty much.

Thanks for the recommendation. I opined elsewhere on this band while admittedly never having listened to an album--only YouTube--which I think is somewhat unfair. The thing is, I really like them and always have and this performance is no exception. The in-studio mix sounds great!

It sounded to me like the host says he wants to use the album as background music in the future. Could be a nice break for them.

I also like her expression when the host says, "on bass, Zombie." Uh-Oh But the little graphic blurb does call her Zombie Girl.

Very cool! But I miss the screaming (see attached video)! I wonder if they told them not to do that for TV.
