The latest novel in Margaret Atwood's series coming from "Oryx & Crake", "MaddAddam". She's a great and prolific writer with a lot to say about the messed-up world we have made. Dystopic with a dash of humor and a heap of imagination, but grounded in stories of people's lives.

I'll have to check that one out. I really enjoyed Oryx & Crake.

I'm not a huge reader, but my wife picked up a used copy of Keith Richards Life. So I'm giving that a shot

I've already read these multiple times, but I just want to pass them on. It was Trode who first introduced me to Kem Nunn. These three surf novels (dark surf) could loosely be called a "trilogy." I highly recommend them, in this order:

“Tapping the Source”
"Tijuana Straits”
“The Dogs of Winter”

Just finished Gods of the Hammer ( bio on Canadian rock legends Teenage Head), and am gonna start reading Route 19,Revisited about the making of London Calling.

Rev Hank, thanks for the tip on the Teenage Head Biography. Saw them lots back in the day at various clubs around Toronto! Always a good show.Would like to get a biography on Goddo and Moxy if one ever existed.

Wow Rev and Teiscofan, I haven't heard the band Teenage Head mentioned in about twenty years.
They were great!

And I thought that Teenage Head was just a Flaming Groovies album. They were great too!

After a significant break (where I read Riddly Walker about 11 times. No lie), I've decided to return to Mid World and follow Roland Deschain's quest to find the Dark Tower.

I left off with book 4, and I'm now reading book 5: "Wolves of The Calla"

by Stephen King, of course.

Long days & pleasant nights...

Laird Barron short stories volume, "The Beautiful thing that awaits us all."
Don't read Barron close to bed time, if you want to have a peaceful night.
Likewise, Caitlinn Kiernan's, The Ammonite Violin & other stories". Just too damn dark, with the logic of nightmares.
