After several yrs of farting around with my original vintage Fender 6G15 tube spring reverb and sussing out my prototype
on stage, I have finally moved forward in its production. I've given it a slightly different facia as its the standard now for my head cabs but internally its pure southern california vintage 6G15. And true to pure southern Californian style, everything must be overdone.
In this case, this is about content as the goal was to bring improvement to the tube preamp of the unit for more original guitar signal clarity. Necessity is the mother of invention and for someone like me that is an uber fan of Gretsch hollowbody and bigsby'd telecaster guitar twang, I needed to go "boutique" on components as means to an end in the redesign. A sum of all parts sort of thing that actually works. Not cheap but it really works well.
Available in any color scheme you want for an introductory price of $888 (except for aged lacquered tweed and two tone, an upcharge)

I have designed this tube spring reverb tank to go beyond and above the average clone 6G15 reproduction unit. Thanks for taking a look.

Looks great Tavo! Can you tell us which pan you use, and is it suspended like the Fender units? What about a locking lever?

Hi Fritz!! Its mounted vert on the inside wall on rubber bushings, locking lever/ spring mount is avail upgrade upon request. I'm using the long spring MOD pan because I feel the new offshore accutronics is not a worthwhile pan. If I could get original USA accutronics pans for my builds I would, heck if I could find a supply of Gibbs pan I would go apesh$p So.. for production sake the Mod pan is best out there and my preamp circuit is an overbuilt (read: corksniffer) but faithful recreation of the my original 6G15 fender spring tank. The goal was better grounding(quieter) and more intelligible tube preamp to interact with the pan.

Here's Nick doing a demo vid, he's a blues guitarist in New Orleans. I think he did a great job with the F-Bomb reverb unit sitting on top of his Nocturne Blondeshell 115 combo

For the record... the Topanga kicks butt, but the F-bomb is indeed THE BOMB! We're talkin' Marianas Trench DEEP folks.

So is it a 6G15 circuit with premium parts and improved grounding, or did you actually modify it so that it doesn't have the tone suck (and slight loss of volume... less than unity gain) that the original Fender unit has?

Surfmole, yes I did.. I really hated what the original did to my gretsch guitar and the goal of the parts involved and design was to correct that short coming

-Sounds like you've got a winning design then! I'd love to hear one in person sometime.
The 6G15 sounds great, but I prefer it ran in parallel since it seems to degrade the direct sound of the guitar.
