I'm Fwd this from Cowabunga,
We would like to invite anyone in the area to the Tiki Farm event in
San Clemente, Ca., this sat Aplil 14.
The event goes from 9-3.
Glasgow Tiki Shakers play from 1-3pm.
5 freeway, exit Ave Pico in San Clemente. Proceed east (left) exactly 3
miles. Right on Camino Celosia then right on Calle Avanzado.

I will be there. Listening to the cool sounds of the GTS on what is forecasted to be another nice, warm and not so hot afternoon and feel the ocean breeze. This definitely is a 12 pack road trip.

Anybody want to cruise down to SD after that for the show there.
we might stop at Bali hi on Shelter Island, or some other place to eat.
Pizza or Mexican food, and Beer???

I think I will bring a little bottle of rum for my Hawaiian Shave Ice. Don't worry, I will share some to BTD and whoever wants a little spice to their flavored ice. It will be great to hear Joyce, Bruce and Bill play again. It has been a while.

WOW! Glasgow Tiki Shakers did two sets, including some of their own and many great 60s surf tunes. I took a few photos. Holden (Tiki Farm) really liked it. I'm happy to see more crossover with tiki and surf in this area. I love exotica, but it's nice to mix things up a bit.

just wish some of the TC people that said they were coming down for the Insect show would have, they all got stuck at tiki farm or somebodys house drinking, and lost all motivation.
Kristena, thanks for going to SD, JP said it meant alot to him for those of us that did go.
The Glasgow Tiki Shakers are becoming the crossover band for the Tiki/surf crowd in So. Cal. They have done 3 very hi profile tiki events.
The Last Hurrah party at Sams Seafood, Bongo Fury's opening of his new tiki house party, and Now the tiki farm parking lot sale.
Congrats Guys....

I'm hoping this crossover thing doesn't stop at the name of the band. I love the Tiki Shakers--they are excellent, but there are many other bands that could be appreciated equally. Now, for all you surf bands out there, just find a way to put "tiki" into your band name. Here are some suggestions:

TikiWave
The Tiki Surfers
The Tikinators
T.I.K.I.
The Tiki Rats
Tiki Ranch
The Tikinauts
Los Tikis
The Tiki-walkers
With a line-up like that, you can't go wrong!
