I have created an EVENT for yet another one of my SURF-ROCK SHINDIGs at OTTO's SHRUNKEN HEAD -- this one is for MARCH 1 2014. The 4 bands that are scheduled to perform are: 9 PM THE CHILLERS; 10 PM BONGO SURF; 11 PM MATT RAE TRIO; 12 MIDNIGHT BAND OF TRIBES. Hope to see of you there!! my Yearly Special SURF-ROCK SHINDIG is gettin' closer and closer!! promises to be a top notch show, with 5 bands instead of the usual 4!! hope some of you are able to swing by!!!
FACEBOOK EVENT: BTW in 2014 I will be celebrating 10 years of putting of my SHINDIGS on a monthly basis....without missing a month!!! To commemorate this milestone, the months of MAY and JUNE 2014 will be special 5-band SHINDIGS!!! And I'm going to be working with many of the bands that I first started booking, so it should be a fun time..... I will be doing a two-month commemorative poster, as well as individual posters for each month. The show are booked 100%!! In fact I am booked through July (actually the 9 pm slot is open); plenty of room to perform after that, should any band be interested. So I am proud to announce that I will commemorate my Ten Year Anniversary in 2014, and will do so with 2 special 5-band SURF-ROCK SHINDIGs at OTTO's SHRUNKEN HEAD for 2 successive months: MAY 3, JUNE 7!! PLEASE NOTE: The ByzanTones will be performing at my February 1 2014 @ 10 pm due to an error in my booking. The Derangers will be performing in the March 1 2014 Surf-Rock Shinding. for my AUGUST 2 2014 "SURF-ROCK SHINDIG", one of the bands had to withdraw. I am hopeful to find another slot in a future Shindig, where they can then perform. The band I am referring to is called BEWARE THE DANGERS OF A GHOST SCORPION. Earlier -- on Tuesday, I reached out to my Friend CHRIS WEBB, in Virginia (and many of you know he is the Grandson of Link Wray!). Chris' group, BAND OF TRIBES, will now perform at 12 Midnight for this particular Shindig. Very grateful for Chris' willingness to step up!! The Facebook Event has been updated: When there's a line-up change, I usually create a NEW Poster!!
