From the first year of the Highway Series, 2002, here's a sweet Mary Kaye Blond Fender Highway 1 Strat. In this first year, the Mary Kaye finish was just right, showing the wood grain (in later years, this blonde finish became more solid, and you couldn't see the grain). And, the finish shows some attractive subtle gloss, as the pictures show. There are some small rubs and nicks from normal usage, but it's in overall very good condition, with minimal fret wear, if any. And, while I don't have an official postal scale, it's a nice weight, too (not an anchor!)
And, the only two weak parts of the guitar have been upgraded - the bridge pickup was replaced with a Fender Custom Fat 50s, for a warmer, fuller bridge tone. And, the tuners have been replaced with Fender F-logo locking tuners (no drilling was necessary - the tuners are a drop-in replacement). However, you'll get the stock bridge pickup and tuners (in the photo, the new tuners had not yet been installed). Comes with the original Fender gig bag and documents and cloth.
