Yes, he does! He has the tort guard from mine and I have the white guard from his! Jake, your evil twin VI is on its way. I keep thinking of Spy Vs. Spy with your all-black VI and my all-white VI. The strings and nut are the last parts I'm waiting for and then the headstock will be painted to match the body. —Matt "tha Kat" Lentz |

Can't wait! Mine had the wrong clear coat mis-delivered I am told. So it will be a little longer... |

I think IMHO now, after reading everyone's experiences, that keeping the price of these so low has come at the cost of consistent build quality, both in the parts that get used and their assembly. In other words, some final assembly required. YMMV, just like the guitars, themselves. Fender could have poured a lot more content and attention to assembly into these, as high-end MIM guitars all the way up to an AV series. They would retail for a lot more money or a whole lot more money, and far fewer of us would have bought them. Certainly I couldn't. —This is Noel. And let us not forget that most guitars need a set up and some new parts straight out of the box. |

Exactly, guitars with little to no collectability and resale value are just begging to get modded. |

Hey guys, Chicago Music Exchange also carries La Bella Flatwounds - $47.99 shipped. Don't let the photo they have throw you. They are actual 767-6F Flatwounds not round wound as the pic would lead you to believe. — |

What a difference a matching headstock makes! I wasn't sure about the p/g swap after I traded with BTD, but as soon as I put it all back together with the headstock finished, WOW! I'm still waiting to find one more AVRI Jag pickup, and my LaBella flats haven't arrived yet, but when I get it all together, the nut is being replaced as well as the pots and pickups. I just had to put it all back together to see how it looks. —Matt "tha Kat" Lentz |

Jake's and Matt's BASS VI's must be photographed together! Then they should be played together. —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got. Last edited: Mar 29, 2014 08:03:45 |
